The motif is painted from a perspective from the window of the Frstenbergska gallery with a view of Brunnsparken in Gothenburg. Hugo Birger was a Swedish artist who was mainly active in Paris. Several of Birger's paintings can be found at Gothenburg's art museum. The Frstenbergska gallery is one of
