The cotton is tied tightly to resist the dye in places (the adire oniko technique), then dyed and hand beaten to set the colour. The indigo comes from plant sources: dried, crushed leaves are fermented with an alkaline solution, and the cloth is dipped repeatedly to deepen the shade. A genuine one off lovely as a throw,
