This is an amazing mid-fifties numbered silk Christian Dior London dress that was sold through Holt Renfrew

As mentioned the fabric does have a light bit of a slight faded patina and was probably washed by hand at some point in its history

It was made under the creative direction of the original Mr. Valentino. The dress was one of a group of seven presented near the end of the show. I think it was the best of that group and it is a wonderful example of Valentino's work for his main line during this time period.
