生地には、絣（カスリ）調の綿レーヨン素材を使用。軽く柔らかい風合いで、暑い日でも風が抜けるような快適な着心地を楽しめる。

1920-1930年代のペインターパンツをベースにデザインした。

化石燃料として石炭が一般的に使用されていた当時、Coal Bag（コールバッグ）は日常的に用いられていたアイテムだった。キャンバス生地に持ち手を付けただけの簡素な造りながら、その丈夫さと利便性から、あらゆる場面で重宝されていた。

しなやかなスーピマ綿に落ち綿をブレンドすることで、自然なムラ感を表現。また、襟付けの補強を目的として、1960年代に開発された二重環縫い縫製ミシンを採用し、ハギのない丸編みの首リブを縫製した。
