Ireland, Edward IV Crown Groat Very attractively tonedIreland, Edward IV (1461 83), silver Groat, first crown coinage (1461 63), Dublin Mint, crown within tressure of nine arcs, tri pellets on cusps, outer beaded circle at rim, rev. cross pattee, tri pellets in each angle, two opposing groups with annulet at centre, beaded circles and legend surrounding, weight 2. 45g (DF 77; S. 6272). Toned, a little short of flan from slight clipping, otherwise good very fine and very rare.
