Cameroon Bamileke Elephant Mask TR7 Tableware 120–130cm H × 30cm WA Bamileke elephant mask from Cameroon, made to be worn by members of the Kuosi society a private men's society within the Bamileke community whose inner workings are closely guarded. A mask like this would have been worn by a high ranking member. The wonderful elephant head form carries copious decorative flourishes, with brass tusks and a trunk end that beam warm golden tones.
