It was an an exciting moment of surprise and glee when I finally noticed it shining in the low sky between the cacti and bushes

and steep mountains layered against each other in the distance

some friends and I took shelter at a beach resort before the daily rains set in

Big swell lines were sweeping across the Pacific Ocean that dayNew Year's Eve, December 31, 2023. The swell was massive: 10 feet at 17 seconds.
